Working of zip files

Question

Hi

As we are very much familiar while working on zip files. I am just curious that how it works actually... how its algorithm working for compressing the files, keeping multiple files all at in a single file.

 

we're working with zip files and then most popular rar file (which having more compressing algorithm)

 

Can anyone tell me about a little bit more.
