Word-style ruler with multiple tab stops
Jul 15 2010 11:58 AM
Hi Folks!
I am writing a scheduling application which requires me to be able to mark events on a timeline. The timeline needs to be endlessly scrollable and I need to be able to have zero or more events marked in a given viewable range.
So far, I considered using a horizontal slider and then a button at either end to go forwards and back by a fixed interval (say a month) but sliders have exactly one thumb!
What I want to achive would best be illustrated by the ruler in, say, Word, where you can drag in as many tab-stops to it as you want.
I have searched online and, so far, have been unable to find an example of how to achiive this! Can anyone offer any advice?
Thanks :D
