Windows Service stops itself?

Question

hi there, i´m working on a windows service (Nt Service) and i wonder if it is possible that the service stops itself ? i regularly check uptime of servers and if it fails, i want the service to stop (after doing some other operations). i know its possible to stop services via a serviceInstaller, but i want to do it right from within the Service. any ideas? thanks, jkersch
