Will apps written with framework 1.1 work under 1.2 ?

Question

Apps written with version 1.0 of the framework would work with very few exceptions under 1.1 of the framework. Is this true for apps written with version 1.1 of the framework? i.e., will they likely work with version 1.2 of the framework (or whatever the next version is).
