Why SharePoint 2010 first search is slow

Question

I have a site in SharePoint 2010 and I have configured search on it. The results are fast except the first search. The first search takes around 30-40 seconds to return the results. I had scheduled a SPWakeup script and a powershell script which will open the search Url in IE and automatically close it after some time . Still the same problem. Can anyone help
