What to do before I start working...?
May 5 2009 8:44 PM
Hi Im a new C sharp programer... I started learning C# 2 months ago and now I have a project that can be hard to do with my knowledge about C#... I'm planning to make a shop software... The software should be able to make payments for any thing using the barcode, will take care about a shop accounting, will different reports about selling, supplies, etc... I've learn some stuff about working with databases in C# 2008, I know how to work with LINQ and such stuff, but of course I should learn a lot more about them before i get started... I need to learn how to manipulate with databases, how to add data to them from my software, how to get the data I need, how to make reports, and a lot of such stuff that Im ready to learn... Maybe i didnt describe it in the best way, but someone who worked such softwares will know what im talking about... I want to know if someone know a good book to learn such stuff, some tutorials and any source code about a accounting software and a payroll software in c#... I have a book called Apress - Beginning.C.Sharp.2008.From.Novice.to.Professional, it tells a lot about databases but all examples are in cmd so this is why I didnt like it. Hope that someone will help me about this, and also maybe someone can tell me what else I need to know before I get started... thnx a lot
