What I need to know to create Audio games for the blind
Aug 30 2010 4:01 PM
I at the moment, am only a beginner C# enthusiast developer (I don't have any certifications in programming). But when I become proficient enough in the language, I hope to create a few things either up on source forge or with some other open source community. One of them is going to be a game that is completely accessible to blind users, in other words, the game is played with the keyboard, and all of it's output is in audio versus visual. There are many games of this nature out there now (I play more of them than I probably should, LOL), but I was wondering what I need to know for the Audio API. Is there already some kind of API to make audio playback in C# easier, should I embed that portion as a script of another language such as LUA or AutoIt? What do you think? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
