What happenned to Windows 9?

Question

MS gulped Windows 9 and directly jumped to Windows 10.

 

Does anyone know what happened to Win 9.0?

 

Because of "Start" button missing in Win 8 there we so many complains, and Win 9.0 was just based on same UI, so MS scrapped it?

Ya it was something like that.

 

Its probably that the version had too many bugs and features people didn't  want.

 

Many companies do this, i think even Angular Js did this recently when they skipped one version.
