Webservice problem

Question

Hi.

i am new to asp.net and webservices.

i have made my first webservice on local machine and tested it in the browser it works fine. but when i add its reference to another page on the same machin and paste its url , it cannot be searched and "page cannot display" message occurs.

how to troubleshoot it.
any help will be highly appreciated.
