Web forms design view is not working

i have installed visual studio 2015 on my system. whenever i try to create a web form and add some components (buttons, textbox )onto it and see its design view, it does not show me the design view without any message. can you please help me out.

Is there any other way to achieve this- i simply want to perform a button click event whenever a button is clicked but without design view i can't perform this action. how can i do that..
