Visual Studio .NET 2008 connect sql server 2008 r2

Question

I have the following two questiuons:

1. Will I have problems with a C#.net 2008 application connecting to sql server 2008 r2 standard edition database? If so, what are my concerns? How would I get around the problem?

2. For the connection string information, can Istill use the same format of server name/instance looking like test/instrance1?
