Visual Studio - Crystal Reports connectivity in clients
Jul 26 2009 11:35 PM
Hi, I am using visual studio to create a project which uses a CR Report. I chosen this way to allow the users use the parameters and run the report. Because the parameters did not work fine for me in Crystal Viewer. When I ran the report in CR Designer it runs fine, when I ran the report in Visual Studio, it ran fine. However when I created the application and then installed it in the user's machine. it is not getting data, I think because the ODBC connection is not configured. I configured the ODBC connection in the user's machine, but, I still have the same issue. Now my question is: How can I create this CR application in Visual Studio to allow the user connects to the database server automatically? or what is the way in Visual Studio or Crystal reports to leave the report without a connection and then configure it when the application is installed in the user's machine? I hope you understand my post, if you have questions please do not hesitate to send me a reply. Regards
