vb using Sql Server Problem

hello sir,

 

I am SeetaRamaiah from Malaysia, i am doing a project on VB using SqlServer as BackEnd. Plez,I need a help from your side sir. i don't know how to take the backup and restore using VB. But i know the queries how to take. but how to execute those in VB, because we take the backup as well as restore when the database closing time only. so plez send a clarification sir. and also i have one more clarrification on how to Change the fieldNames, Datatype as well as size in a table using alter or other command using SqlServer.
