Validating a check box using jquery and displaying custom alert

Question

Hi all I am having two check-boxes and a button on my form
I use the below on to alert the custom alerts as per my need

The first thing is i am unable to display the alert when i use Asp.net controls..

Second is initially if no check box is selected and user clicks on button on the first click i am  unable to display the confirmation

Third is if i un-check the check box and click on button instead of alert i am getting confirmation box displayed..
For further purpose please find out the attached code and do the needful.
