Hi everybody,
a webservice web method is called from window service to update a database table.there is a huge amount of data is inserted or updated into database but i get exception on service on try catch block "The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive".i don't know what is roung.i am using window server 2003 and dotnet 1.1.
i don't want to use any iis settings to remove this bug

The Exception you mentioned is one of 2 options 1. DB Connection are overlapping the Application Pool, meaning you didnt close connections to the DB. 2. The IIS didnt agree to get any commands to the WebService, This will happen on 2 ways, Application Pool Missconfigured to support the ammount of access memory needs or the Ethernet Card Is Faulty and cant handle more connections, anyway you need to add another Catch Block to send the Exception Type in order to provide more information
