TD Ameritrade API Assistance

Question

Hello I am hoping someone may be able to assist. I am trying to connect to the ameritrade API. I have tried with restclient and httpclient yet I cannot get a connection. I found some projects out on github, but they are way over comlicated for what I want to do. I was hoping someone here has already done this and has a few lines of code I could borrow. I do not have any code currently written as I just have tried and failed. Thank you if anyone can assist.
