system error code
May 11 2006 5:12 AM
Please help....
this may seem kinda odd. So please bear with me.
my problem is the error in windows call "cyclic redundancy check"
here the deal..
i know this mean that the data windows is trying to retrieve is bad on the media ( CD-ROM )
and that i need to get a better copy of the file.. ( which is a pain to find on the net.. these are old files i had forever)..
the CRC Message respond is..ABORT, IGNORE, RETRY.. if i press (R) for retry i get the same message over
and over again...
BUT
if i continue to press (R) for like an Hour ( lol.. yeah i've done it.) the file copy like i want it.
I've used marco program but that seem to be a pain learning how to accomplish this task...
HERES THE BIG DEAL...
i wish there was away in VISUAL BASIC.NET that had a routine that has a list of a few of the System error in it
that when an error ( like crc pops up) the application would PRESS a certain key..like ( R ) and continue to copy the file until it is finish... kinda like a loop..
WHEW..... thank everybody
