SQLite and UWP ?

Recently, Microsoft announced that SQLite would now be shipped with the Windows 10 anniversary edition.  As far as being used with UWP, is it only used with Entity Framework 7 (beta so far), or can it be used without EF7 ?  Any examples to be seen, being used either way?<br abp="808" />
