I have a couple the questions to ask about sql server 2005 versus sql server 2008 since I am new to sql server. (My small company will be using sql sever 2008 within the next month or two:

2. Can I use the SSIS manager 2008 on a sql server 2005 database?
3. I have heard about a CTE being a new feature in sql server 2005. Can you point me to a URL where a CTE can be used with alot of joins?
4. What are the other new sql features in sql server 2005 and links as references for these new features?
5. What are the other new sql features in sql server 2008 and links as references for these new features?
6. Between sql server 2005 and sql server 2008, are there sql statements that are deprecated (Not valid any more)? If so what are the deprecated features?
