SQl Security (how to ensure that my sqldatabase is secured)

Question

have developed systems using .net and sql ,they are working but my sql is open (no security) anybody can just open sql with windows authentication mode and tamper with my data ,what are procedures to to follow to ensure that my database is secured ? kindly help
