sql query

Hi all,i hav a textbox control which is a search field and lets say ex:abc123456787 i will pass value

FCI based on partial search i want to display records in grid and also if i pass values like

ex:absc4696489,piok8756592 i need to fetch data from database how to acheive this either in db2/sql server.Thanks
