SMTP: failure sending emails
May 21 2014 1:53 AM
Hi,
I have application hosted locally. While creating users, i cannot receive emails due to following error:
ERROR: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException :: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was: SMTP authentication is required.
i have added all necessary smtp, ssl settings. My localhost has to work as smtp server. Please let me know if any particular settings are needed. It's more of machine configuration, I guess. Because application works fine on another machine.
Regards,
Jasmine N
