Show Loading Message in Long Runnig

Question

 I have long runnig program like executing query. In the long time i want to show a loading message to user.

I put the message in the statu bar ,but it is working after the long runnig.
I put the code at the start of running

How it possible , iwant  a simple message to show?
Pls Help me
