Sharepoint 2013 workflow with ASP.net forms.

Question

Currrent we are using captaris workflow with asp.net forms for our workflow approval processes. Now we are going to move to sharepoint. I am new to sharepoint, am surfing net watching videos,tutorials. I am unable to understand how do i migrate from my current work setting to sharepoint.

 Do i use sharepoint database or my company's database. How do i write Code.Please help
