SharePoint Search Not working

Question

Hi All,

 

I having a scenario: we have a web application in local domain, for which the search works.

 

And for the web application, we have an extended web applicaiton, for which the search does not work. 

 

Server name mappings have not been configured, will that be an issue?

 

Kindly suggest some possible solutions
