Sharepoint 2013 platform Workflows

Question

I have created a simple workflows in sharepoint 2013 platform with system account. When item is created the workflow will trigger and send email notification. But the workflow is not initiating when the user with contribute permission is creating an item. The issue doesnot exists with full permission user. Is contribute permission not enough to run workflow? 

 

I cannot change the permissions of the users group with contribute permissons , Is there any alternative to fix this issue instead of changing the permissions?
