SharePoint 2013 mail url is not functioning

Hi All,

In SharePoint 2013, the main url is not functioning (it is showing only the main page but unable to browse any other sites/subsites/Lists/DL etc.,). But we can able to browse through the alternate url(AAM)- it is functioning. There is no DNS issue. Could you please suggest why it is happening?
