Sending SMS without using SMS gateway
Nov 23 2006 5:41 AM
Hi, I am developing a desktop application and I am having J2ME mobile application installed on the Mobile Device. Now I want to send the SMS or service request to the mobile on one predefined port on which my mobile application is lisetening, so on receiving this SMS or service request on this port my mobile application should get launched. My main problem is that my client don't want to use any SMS gateway for this. Also I am not sure whether we can send the SMS using SMS gateway on specific port. So can we send SMS or service request to mobile device using .net itself I mean without using any SMS gateway. My mobile application is registered on the mobile device by using push registry which is required if you want your mobile application get launched automatically on receiving some kind of service request or SMS. Please help me as my this is main feature of my desktop application and if it not possible then I will have to scrap the whole project. Thanks in advance.
