Send textstring over Ethernet

Hello!

I have been searching on Google for this but couldn't find what im looking for. I would like to know how to send a textstring over ethernet in C# .Net 3.0.

It's for a little project i'm working with, on the other side of the ethernet-cable there gonna be an AVR that receives the text and transmitts it out to an COM-port.
