search record with multiple fields and display in grid

hii,,,,,
i have 3 textboxes,, birthdate,,birthplace and name,,from these 3 fields,,
all fields are not compulsary,,
i want to perform search opearation and display data in grid,,
how can i do that??
plz provide me code.
