RTF TextBox Formating

So I'm using a rich text box. It appears that whenever I try to copy and paste ANYTHING into that textbox, it keeps the ORIGINAL formatting. How do I make it so that only the TEXT is copied, and not the formatting??? Actually, I think the issue would be with the pasting. So how do I paste just the text???
