RFID Project

Hi.. I'm new to RFID and need help urgently. I am to use Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 for this project.
I have a reader and few tags. I need to get the reader to work and read these tags. This reader is connected to the computer using serial port. Can anyone please advice me about the codes?
