Remoting / Distributed Application

Question

Hi, Actually i'm working on application of Yard Planning which shows the Current status of yard(meant how much and where containers are placed showes in graphical view) and user move containers from one position to another through graphical interface and each client application has timer to refresh all the objects to get the update status but in this way my application is getting slower be'coze of frequent database connection ,fetching data and updating objects. i want to ask that can i use remoting for this purpose for example i register my objects that i'm using as server objects and every client get access of Remote objects it's posible then how can i do this ....? and if it's not possible then is there another way to do this work .....if any body as an idea do tell me please i'll be thankful to him it's really very urgent....babye
