Literally, 20% above of the programmers in companies are like that.  So don't worry! :)
If you can work hard, You can improve on your side.

There is a proverb saying: "Cup is half-empty OR Cup is half-full is based on our Confidence."  In your situation, even though you can understand the basics of programming & do well with that, you are looking at the empty-side of the cup & loosing spirit.

I would say, You should see the positive side of the cup.  You can use your skills to fit into many of the programming jobs in the market.  You can apply to jobs & mean time practice on the industrial projects at home.  (We are lucky to be in computer field where 80% Experience can be gained at home too)

For complex coding, I prefer you break down the problem into simpler ones.  In my decade-above experience, I have seen less opportunities of complex-coding, for me it was dealing with graphics & reflection.

Regarding the industry C#, CRUD (create, read, update, delete) & Technologies (JQuery, WCF, REST) are active than complexity.  Through step-by-step learning & certifications one can achieve expertize.

See the positives:
  • You can read, write & learn new things
  • You have basics of programming
  • You have computer, internet & resources to practice
Now you gained confidence? :)
