Recommended Training - London - UK
Jan 20 2009 8:37 AM
Hi All,
I'm keen to use some of our companies learning and development budget to improve my skills but don't know where to start. My instincts are to get to grips with the new microsoft technologies and features but someone has advised me to pursue fundamentals that apply across different APIs, rather than training on the API's (that they suggest could dissapear or be replaced over time).
Any opinions on this would be greatly appreciated.
If anyone has been on any courses, or can recommend courses or training companies based in the UK, preferably around London, I would appreciate it.
My instincts are that the following areas of training might be useful.
.Net 3.5 technologies (mainly WCF)
Design Patterns for .Net
Rhino Mocks
TDD
IOC containers
NHibernate
MVC for Asp.net
I'm completely open to suggestions so please don't hold back.
Cheers
FYI:
We predominantly develop web apps, have a number of brown and green field projects on the go and are currently moving where possible to .Net 3.5.
Thanks
Tim
