re-arrange Container.DataItemIndex after merge gridview cell

Ihave gridview with same value in multiple row. I manage to merge the cell but i don't know how to re arrange the   Container.DataItemIndex. Image are as below.. The NO column should be 1,2,3. How do i do that TQ.
