Read the word in pdf file

Hello everyone, special hello to you VULPES!
So i have been reading books lately on my brand new laptop and I encountered a problem of not knowing some of the words. So i was looking for a software that would translate the words for me , i found babylon but it sucks, so I want to make my own.

So as the thread title states, how would i get the word recognizable from pdf file when i move my mouse over the word?
Like for example I move the mouse over word "run" and it would have like little square above the word and have all the words in native language.
And then maybe i click ctrl+space and it would write that word and translation in the notepad

Sorry, I think I misread the question last night but George is right - it would be very hard to write something like this. You'd probably have to write a plug-in for Acrobat Reader which would require an understanding of the Adobe SDK and C/C++ programming. There's no support for .NET to my knowledge.

If I were you, I'd either persevere with Babylon, keep a window open to Bing translator:

or convert your PDF to MS Word which has a built-in translation feature:

Hi ,
I am sorry to say that PDF is a image(technically), more like the text embed in. So direct translation might be quite hard(Or just my opinion). I think if you can extract the text out of the PDF, and then translate the text. That will be some little easy of the work. Also, I can help with extract text from PDF, if you need. :)

But what if I want to make my own simple translator that would use google translate and would put the words in the notepad?

Thought I'd just say a quick hello before I finish for today.

The only software I know of that fits the bill is in fact Babylon so I'm afraid I'm no help on this one :(
