Read Right and left Audio channels from a video file

Hi,

I am making a media player using c-sharp. The following image shows the conceptual design. I'd like to know how I can get the audio channels (Lef and Right) from a given video.

Are there any samples available/ has someone done anything similar?
Can someone please help?
