read mails from the exchage server

Hi Iam developing a software in .Net mobile Technology. My idea is to read mails from the exchage server throgh the mobile and also sending SMS to the mobile when the new mail reaches the inbox. So how to find out the new mail is reached in the inbox. Iam using 2003 excange server. Thanks in advance Sridharan.M
