Procedure to get Microsoft certified professional developer

I have a doubt in getting MCPD(Microsoft Certified Professional Developer) ie; where to apply, how to apply i searched this where i couldn't get full guidance regarding all about MCPD, if anybody here knows that one please guide me thanks in advance.
