Problems with IIS 5.1 wrt XP Prof Service Pack 2

Question

Hi dudes, i am facing problem while i am configuring my IIS.... in my laptop the Opearating System is Win XP Proff with Service Pavk 2... in my machine the webserver is not working properley... when i type http://localhost/.. the system is not giving any response immidiately, after 3 to 4 min's a meesage is displaying saying that " this page can not be displayed"... due to this i am unable to run the asp.net web applications ... so i request all of u suggest any solution to handle this problem bye srinivas
