Problem in playing .avi

Question

hi
i have a movie clip in .avi
i take it from a analog camera and a roxron dvr card

this movies can play in window media player in windows xp but i don't know why they can't play by any other media players.

and i need to play this movie in my wpf application and get it's frames. 
my application don't have any problem by any .avis but has problem by my .avi video clip

in a converter software i see that this codec is zmp5! and the software also can't convert it!

any suggestion?
