problem in create a log for windows installer...!

Question

I have created windows installer using WIX. 

I am using the following command to create log for msi.

msiexec /i "D:\WixProjects\DFServicesWixSetup\DFServices\bin\Debug\DFServices.msi" /L*V "D:\DFServices.log"

But the problem this command is prompt the installer setup again.when i proceed it is trying to update .

I just need to log the installer log file.

can any one help on this plz.....
