Passing value from one view to another

Hi

I hope you will find this interesting enough to give me some help, please I need it.

 

I have a view A

Which render also a partial view when a selection is made from a dropdownlist on the parent view, not the partial.

the partial view show a list of book with their author name which is a link.

I also have a view B

in the same configuration parent view with partial view and dropdownlist where selection of Author can be made and then the list of book published the selected author is shown.

 

Since in view A I have the author name as a link I want when that link is click the View B should be rendered whit:

The name of the author in the dropdownlist

the list of book publish by the author.

 

I want to do all that by sending the authorid.

I wanted to upload images but I cannot do that here.
