Parent Page Grid Refresh from child Page

Question

I have one main page which consists of iframe and the menu in main page is dynamic and all the pages are opening in iframe when i update info in child page and click on back button in child page the grid in parent page must refresh .I have called one javascript function its working fine but after refresh the parent page is opening outside the main page.how to open it in main page
