No choice to make apps using C# other then Xamarin and AS???

Question

Shit, it's not easy!!

I just want to try making Android apps in C# and preferably in Visual Studio.
Xamarin cost a hole lot of money (What are they thinking of with these prices!!! It's crazy)
Unity3D is overkill for business app and has no drag and drop design features
Android Studio is the right choice, but no option to code in C# - only Java

Is my demands to high!!! I think not.

Does any of you guys have any suggestions?
