Network connectivity (LAN)

I’m developing logistic software working with VB.NET. Data base used - MySQl MySql is working as a service on windows XP I’m connecting the DB using ODBC 3.51 Locally everything is working just fine. I’m unable to connect a remote client to the DB file. Please reply with suggestions Drew
