Need to performance test a database design

Hi,

We have done a database design and building applications against that database design which is implemented in sql server 2012. I want to do a performance test so I can see how much our stored procedure takes regarding to performance.

- Do we have to redesign our database design?

- Do we have to create or delete indexes?

and so on...

I don't really know which approach I should have to get a solution to this.
