Need to fetch particular value from XML file

I am new beginner of jQuery.I need to fetch particular value from xml file using jQuery and Ajax method without using any serverside language.Is this possible to fetch?.

I have retrieved all datas from xml file and displayed in html table.But i dont have idea about this.Please anyone help me to do this.
