My Future as a Developer

Question

Hello experts panel , I am around 1 year experience web developer. I work on MVC frameworks of PHP. After having 1 year experience in PHP I am getting the thoughts from my seniors that PHP is not the right choice as for as I am expecting an exponential growth in my career as a developer. I have done some research on different job portals and found that the big brands of IT industry don't work on PHP very much. So what should I do ? I ahve knowledge of OOPs and MVC . I worked on JAVA and Dot Net too in my college days. Please guide me regarding the future.
